§ 3. Scope.

This Act shall cover Elder abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation. However, the Nation recognizes that many Elders suffer the infirmities of aging and are in need of protective services. Therefore, the Ho-Chunk Nation Children and Family Services (CFS) may refer cases dealing with adult protective services, to the appropriate State or County agencies or organizations on a case by case basis until the Ho-Chunk Nation provides an Act to protect those individuals.
