A. A parent, guardian, or other person who has assumed or been entrusted with the care of a minor or vulnerable adult, who knowingly causes or permits physical injury to such minor or vulnerable adult, is guilty of a serious offense.

 

B. For purposes of this section, &ldquovulnerable adult&rdquo means an individual eighteen years of age or older who, because of a mental or physical disability, is unable to protect himself from abuse or neglect.

 

C. In addition to the remedy in section A, an injured minor or vulnerable adult is entitled to all available remedies under Ordinance 50.
