A person commits aggravated assault, a serious offense, by: A. attempting to cause or recklessly causing serious physical injury to another person B. attempting to cause or knowingly causing physical injury to another person through the use of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument C. attempting to cause or knowingly causing serious physical injury to a child who is fifteen years of age or younger D. committing an assault on a tribal official, village official police officer, or a person age sixty-five (65) or older.
